IT’S SCARECROW TIME!
Back for it’s 4th year, the City of Jonesboro presents our annual Scarecrow Contest. This year, we are hopeful you have over 50 scarecrows scattered through our Downtown District. This contest is open to all businesses, families, clubs and organizations doing business in and around Clayton County. Scarecrows will be displayed from Monday October 8th through Friday November 9th. All scarecrows should be removed by Monday November 12th.
Theme:
Be creative! Use your imagination! Depict a favorite fairytale, animal, fantasy figure, movie or television character or historic person. Your entry can be traditional, humorous or contemporary. Remember that this is a community celebration. The goal is to generate good will and a festive atmosphere. No political, religious, off-color or profane displays will be allowed.
This year to make the event even more exciting, we are adding a $100 cash prize to the winner!
