Advisory: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-265, you are hereby notified of a proposed change in the Municipal Election Day Polling location for those voters within the Corporate City Limits of the City of Jonesboro. The Election Superintendent plans to relocate the voters effective for the next scheduled election on November 2, 2021. The proposed change will be from the Police Department to Lee Street Elementary School located at 178 Lee Street. This proposed change is requested to ensure voters are familiar with the actual location and that the location of voting is accessible to everyone. Lee Street Elementary serves as a primary location for voting and also is in a central point of the community.
Their will be a Public Hearing regarding this matter at the September 6, 2021 Regular Meeting of the Jonesboro City Council Meeting. Those interested to speak, should attend. A copy of the legal notice is attached to this post.
